Mon, Mar 16th 2009, 11:26
A poll of Gay & Lesbian Leadership SmartBrief’s more than 18,000 readers finds respondents citing the repeal of the 1996 Defense of Marriage Act as their top LGBT legislative goal for the Obama administration. Nearly 40 percent chose DOMA repeal from a list of five LGBT priorities for President Obama. Another 27 percent said passing ENDA should come first, with action on the military ban, hate crimes and domestic partner benefits for federal workers following.
